Treatment – How do we treat pain?
We use an innovative technique called SMP, which we have been researching for over a decade
The SMP technique (Subcutaneous Multipoint Puncture) is a minimally invasive method designed to treat dysfunctions of the superficial fascia.

What to expect at your appointment

Your appointment begins with a consultation and physical examination to understand your condition and the area(s) affected.
Once the affected areas have been identified, we use small sterile needles less than 1cm long to micropuncture the compressed areas within the superficial fascia where metabolic fluid has become trapped and is unable to drain away. By breaking these restrictive facial membranes, the trapped fluid can be released and reabsorbed by the body.
This process is non-pharmacological, with excellent tolerance and minimal side effects, such as possible small bruises or hematomas.
Please wear comfortable, loose clothing to your appointment and be prepared that depending on your symptoms and where the fascia stems from, that we might need access to intimate areas.

Prior to your appointment
To help minimise bleeding, we recommend trying to avoid the following for the three days before your treatment:
- taking anti-inflammatory medication
- drinking alcohol
- taking fish oil tablets
Post-appointment after care
It’s perfectly normal to experience redness and pinpoint bleeding after your treatment and is nothing to worry about. You may experience some mild swelling, peeling and flaking. To minimise these effects, keep your skin moisturised. Moisturising will also reduce flaking and alleviate the feeling of tightness.
